Shahin Khan

A well respected industry figure, Shahin Khan serves on the board of directors of Wizmo Inc., Massively Parallel Technologies Inc., and eXLudus Technologies, Inc.

Shahin was interim VP of Marketing at 3Leaf Systems. He was VP of Corporate Development, Intellectual Property, and Marketing at Silicon Graphics and served in executive positions at Sun Microsystems, including VP/GM of the HPC and Visualization products business unit, Chief Competitive Officer, and VP of Product Marketing & Planning. He was Chief Marketing Officer at Electronics for Imaging, and CMO at Azul Systems. He lived in the UK to lead European Marketing for FPS Computing before its acquisition by Cray Research. He was at Cray Business Systems Division until its acquisition by Sun Microsystems. He started his career at IBM.

Shahin is a thought leader specializing in competitive strategy, positioning, M&A, and marketing/sales alignment. He has been quoted or featured in the media including in the Wall Street Journal, San Jose Mercury News, Wired, BusinessWeek, InformationWeek, The Register, CRN, and Cnet. Cindee Mock

Cindee Mock combines business aptitude with a passion for writing and is a published author in several media outlets, including Harvard Business Review. She is an energetic and resourceful thinker with exceptional positioning/messaging, communications and executive communications skills.

Cindee specializes in transforming complex topics into customer-focused “stories” that help shorten the sales cycle. Realizing that customers have choice, she also stresses the importance of fully understanding the competitive landscape in order to best position, market and sell vis à vis the competition.

Cindee is a self-starter who enjoys fast pace and favors a hands-on, practical approach.  Previously, Cindee held several senior director-level positions at Sun Microsystems, including Message & Evidence Marketing, as well as Worldwide Launch Marketing, Competitive Intelligence, and Sun Laboratories Marketing. Prior to Sun, Cindee worked at two high technology PR agencies and had the opportunity to work with a diverse set of companies ranging from technology start-ups to Fortune-500 enterprises.

Cindee holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.


Joanne Masters

Joanne Masters brings 30 years of success in selling and marketing high technology products and services to the enterprise, SMB and start-up markets. A respected industry sales and marketing executive, she is noted for her ability to drive and translate strategic initiatives into business results. She combines her extensive sales background with her marketing talents to help clients “connect-the-dots” between marketing and sales for greater efficiencies and increased revenues. Whether Joanne is advising C-level clients on new growth strategies or rolling up her sleeves to help create new influencer or competitive sales programs, she always looks for the most efficient alignment and value delivered to the customer.

Her depth of industry experience includes leading global sales organizations to capture government and commercial business valued in the 100’s of millions in revenue,, establishing Sun Microsystems’ first Security Program Office, driving the transformation of Sun’s Industry Analyst Relations program to achieve #1 ranking and a turnaround in worldwide analyst perception.

At Orion Marketing, Joanne consults clients in strategy & planning, messaging & brand marketing, marketing communications, and sales enablement. Joanne is a graduate of Virginia Tech with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Marketing and Business Management.


Steve Campbell

Steve Campbell brings a unique blend of expertise to this industry. He has held senior VP positions in Product Management and Product Marketing responsible for all company marketing for HPC and Enterprise vendors.

Steve was most recently Vice President of Marketing and Solutions of the Hitachi Server Group. Previously, Steve served as VP of Marketing at Sun Microsystems Enterprise Systems Products Group responsible for the mid-range and high-end Sun Fire and Sun Enterprise servers. He was executive sponsor for several high profile customers in Asia and was also responsible for Sun’s High-Performance Computing initiatives and the Data Center Insight Programs leading solution programs for data center consolidation and mainframe migration.

Before joining Sun, Steve was a founding partner in a technology consulting company working with early stage technology and Internet start-ups helping to raise over $300M for clients. He also served on the boards of and as interim CEO/CMO of several early-stage technology companies. Steve was Vice President of Marketing at FPS Computing and held executive positions at Convex Computer Corporation and Scientific Computer Systems.


Steve Perrenod

Based in Singapore and Thailand, Stephen Perrenod has lived and worked in Tokyo and Singapore and has business experience across all major geographies in the Asia-Pacific region.  He brings his intimate knowledge of cultures, markets, trends, and requirements to lead Orion Marketing’s presence in APAC.  He specializes in corporate strategy for market expansion, sales-marketing alignment, and high performance computing (HPC).

Stephen’s 25 years of Silicon Valley and international experience includes technical marketing and sales leadership roles in enterprise IT.  He was Director of the HPC business for Asia-Pacific at Sun Microsystems and Oracle, doubling the business within a three year period. Previously, he was VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for eXludus Technologies, driving market visibility, strategic partnerships and the initial sales results for this cluster and multicore optimization start-up. He has also worked in the petroleum industry and in government research labs.

Stephen is a recognized public speaker and a published author of a book on cosmology. He earned a bachelor of science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a doctorate from Harvard University and is fluent in several languages, including Japanese.
